With more than fifteen years in accounting and tax preparation, Tanya Clark brings hands-on expertise to our client work. As a tax associate at The Tax Defenders, she files annual and back tax forms as well as handling bookkeeping with personalized support and financial insight.

Born in San Diego, California, Tanya built her professional foundation through years of real-world experience—honed by working directly with clients, continuous self-education, and roles at Class Advisors, Delsen & Company LLP, and isolved. A family friend and longtime mentor in the field inspired her to pursue this path, showing her the powerful impact of combining technical knowledge with genuine empathy to ease the stress of taxes.

Tanya takes particular pride in her ability to forge genuine connections during what can be overwhelming situations. 

One client told her, “You made something I was dreading feel manageable—and even a little less scary,” a comment that reaffirms why she loves this work.

In her free time, Tanya enjoys reading and writing—she’d pursue a career as a high school English teacher if she weren’t in taxes.  Travel highlights include trips to Mexico, Canada, and especially Ireland’s dramatic landscapes and history. If she could spend a week anywhere, it would be Scotland, savoring its moody skies, quiet beauty, rich heritage, and peaceful mornings with coffee and a good book.
